GETTING STARTED
BEFORE WE MEET
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the District of Columbia, my services qualify for reimbursement under many insurance plans. I currently operate as an out-of-network provider. An out-of-network provider does not contract with a specific plan or insurance company to provide services for the company. Like many therapists in the area, I am not an "in-network" provider because I prefer to make treatment recommendations and decisions independent of your insurance plan's rules and guidelines.
I recommend that you contact your insurance carrier to see if any portion of my services as an out-of-network provider will be covered and/or their out-of network reimbursement rates. At the end of the month, I will provide you with a receipt that you will be able to submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
FEES
I typically meet with clients once or twice per week for 45-minute sessions. My current fee is $215 for individual meetings and $230 for couples meetings.
INITIAL ASSESSMENT
I encourage clients to consider the first three sessions as an opportunity to see whether it feels like an appropriate therapeutic fit. During this time, we will discuss your history, your current situation and concerns, and your goals for therapy. If we determine I am a good fit, we will schedule a follow-up appointment. If, however, we determine I am not the right fit for you, for whatever reason, I am always happy to provide referrals to other providers in the community.
TYPICAL COURSE OF TREATMENT
Your course of treatment is unique and will vary for each individual and couple depending upon your specific goals and concerns. As part of our collaboration, we will work together to find the right length of treatment for you.
